Being a green, sustainable city is multifaceted, touching the work of every department and encompassing a range of topics. Together with the Office of Environmental Stewardship, city staff and the Green Team identify and implement projects to reduce impact on the environment through the city's influence. These opportunities range from the obvious, like recycling and planting trees to the obscure, such as revising parking codes and finding a new use for specific waste streams.
