American Cancer Society: C2C (Columbus to Cincy) Relay Event
Healthy Columbus is excited to
promote and support the 3rd Annual C2C Run to honor cancer survivors,
increase awareness about reducing cancer risk, and raise money to help the
American Cancer Society fight the disease.
Relay running from Columbus to
Cincinnati is a life changing opportunity. I fell into this because I love
running, but we all know someone that has been affected by cancer or gone through
it ourselves. The challenges that go with a cancer diagnosis and treatment can
be overwhelming, but with the support of friends, family, and organizations
like American Cancer Society it can be an empowering and life affirming process
too. I am lucky enough to be healthy now and know that the funds and awareness
this run raises are well worth the challenge of relay running the 131 miles to
Cincinnati. I hope that my city family will join me! Kelli Hykes, Columbus Public Health
The City's C2C team is hosting a Tupperware party as a final fundraiser for the event on August 16th at Columbus Public Health from 5:30-7:30 pm. This party is special- it's hosted by the #1 Tupperware Consultant in the Word- Miss Tennessee Dee W. leye, also known as TV star's Kevin Farrell's alter ego. Read more about Kevin and Dee here. Participants can donate to get reserved seats for the event, or just buy some tupperware. RSVP to [email protected].
