Neighborhood Pride Bicycle Safety Festival

Strong, safe neighborhoods begin with the safety of our children.  Each of us have a role in keeping our children safe while they are at home, in school and play.  Neighborhood Pride has been educating children about helmet safety and bicycle safety since 2003.

The Neighborhood Pride Bicycle Safety Festival goes to the servicing Elementary School of the Neighborhood Pride area.  The Bicycle Safety Festival includes:

  • Safe riding skills and instruction on correct hand signals as children ride through a Safety Town course.
  •
  • Children's Hospital and Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation donated bicycle helmets
  •
  • Education about animal safety from Franklin County Animal Control and Columbus Public Health's veterinarian.
  •
  • Bus Safety from COTA.
  •
  • Home safety education from the American Red Cross.
  •
  • The Fire Safe House and fire safety education from Columbus Division of Fire.
  •
  • The Columbus Police Officer as your friend.
  •
  • Coupons and gifts from Neighborhood Pride Partners.
  •
  • And more!

The Neighborhood Pride Bicycle Safety course also goes on the road and has been featured in many area festivals including the International Festival, COSI EMS Safety Day, Meijer's Kidzapalooza and 10TV Family Fitness Expo.
