My Brother's Keeper is excited to partner with and promote the following Summer opportunities for boys and young men in the community.

Future of Fashion Internship Program: This summer opportunity will provide paid internships for 16 students. Participants will receive an in-depth education on the fashion industry through the lens of African American/minority experts. Interns will produce a collection of garments to distribute across the MBK network of young men.  The nine week program starts June 14th and ends on August 13th.

African American Male Wellness Walk: The Summer Program will offer courses including culinary arts, sound engineering, website design and social media, robotics, adhesive and credit recovery. The youth will also work to build awareness of the Wellness Walk.  30 youth will be served. The 10 week program will run from June 14th to August 14th.

VLOG:

Vlog offers youth the opportunity to learn how to establish a viable YouTube channel.  The program also provides youth with knowledge regarding social emotional learning, workforce development and soft skills, marketing, financial literacy (including credit) and technology. Students will also have the opportunity to earn volunteer hours that can be applied towards their graduation requirements. Forty (40) students will participate. Programming will run from June 28th to July 30th.

Community for New Directors and The Read Early Network (TREN):

The NEXT IS NOW: Summer Youth Employment and Learning Initiative will assist in the development of college and career pathways for high school juniors and seniors. Participants will learn budgeting and receive internship and college and career planning assistance. 40 students will be served in the eight week program that begins June 14th and ends August 6th.

Legacy U: The Lead & Inspire Summer Enrichment Program will provide 40 students with programming in areas including financial literacy, mental health, entrepreneurship and public speaking. The program will start June 14th and end August 14th.
