Diverse Outreach Mission: To implement an aggressive outreach strategy partnering with key external stakeholders in the areas of business, industry, academia and governmental and social service agencies, to enhance the Workforce Diversity and Supplier Diversity Missions of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.  Working in partnership with the Department of Neighborhoods and the Community Relations Commission, strive to elevate the diversity and inclusion proficiency of all Columbus entities and organizations within Central Ohio to help Columbus become ‘America’s Equal Opportunity City'

WVKO Interview Chief Diversity Officer Steve Francis was interviewed by Shanikka Flinn of 1580 WVKO Radio on October 10, 2017 on her daytime community information show 'Your Journey to Empowerment'. Chief Francis provided an overview of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, and discussed 2017 initiatives and 2018 priorities of Mayor Andrew J. Ginther in the areas of Workforce Diversity, Supplier Diversity and Diverse Commitment and Communications for the City of Columbus.

My Brother's Keeper Leadership Conference 2017

ODI Director Stephen Francis attended the 2017 My Brother's Keeper Leadership Conference that was held on October 21, 2017 at Franklin University. The theme for the Conference was 'Empowered, Mentally Strong & Successful'. Featured during the Conference were author and motivational speaker Antonia Smith and former OSU Football and NFL star wide receiver Roy Hall who gave a tough talk lecture to the youth on Mental Toughness.
