To be meaningfully future-focused, we must always keep an eye toward the past and our fingers on the pulse of today. Honesty and vulnerability are core tenets in acknowledging where we are now, and in supporting our design of where we want to go from here.
The City of Columbus, Mayor Ginther, and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion are working to make Columbus an expansive space of belonging and opportunity for all. To do this, we know we must be a city that is on an earnest and continual journey to be better for everyone, in all kinds of ways.

The Day's Panels

Panel #1 | Leading Cities: A city is an ecosystem of stakeholders and citizens, of causes and effects, of policies and politics. Leading a city means balancing a host of concerns, mitigating challenges and creating opportunities for all. Hear from our panel of mayors as they explore what it means to pursue better.
Moderator: Brandi AL-Issa

Panel 1 All

Panel 2 | Policy and Justice: Policy is a living, breathing representation of what we believe is important, of who we think matters, and of how we think the world works. Join city policy makers from a variety of roles as they discuss what a pursuit of justice for all looks like through the lens of public policy and implementation.
Moderator: Dr. Trevor Brown

Panel 2 All

Panel #3 | Practical Allyship: We all have different scopes of leadership and spheres of influence. We lead our city toward better when we each exercise practical allyship - coming together to minimize oppression and maximize opportunity. Hear from allyship coaches as they educate us on the “what” and the “how” of allyship.
