Mr. Simpson was pronounced deceased at 11:08PM by CFD Medic 18. The second victim, who is not being identified at this time, was uninjured. The suspect(s) then fled the scene. |

| Details: On Thursday, April 23, 2020, at approximately 8:31PM, Columbus Police Officers were called to 826 Wedgewood Dr. on the report of shots being fired. Upon arrival, officers found a male inside of 826 Wedgewood Dr. suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Franklin Township Medic M192 responded and pronounced the male deceased at 8:48PM. What precipitated the shooting is still under investigation. The decedent’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. |
