Protect Your Child From Lead Poisoning

LeadBanner
Columbus Public Health wants residents in the 43206 zip code to get their children tested for lead.
If your home was built before 1978, it might have lead-based paint. Lead in paint can harm your child and make him or her sick.

Lead can damage a child's entire body, cause a lower IQ and hyperactivity, hearing problems and slowed growth.

Children sick with lead poisoning may not look or act sick. The only way to know if a child has lead poisoning is through a blood test.

Call 614-724-6000 to find out how to get your child tested. Staff will answer your questions and help you find testing that's right for your family, either through your health care provider or a free screening at Columbus Public Health on May 7, 2017. Parents who get their child tested will receive a free $20 gift card from Columbus Public Health, while supplies last.

Call 614-724-6000 to schedule.
Columbus Public Health is located at 240 Parsons Ave., Columbus
*Lead testing is for children ages 1-5 years old
*Testing is free and confidential
