Hold Special Saturday COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic on June 25
Pfizer Pediatric Doses and all
COVID-19 Vaccines and Boosters will be Available
Columbus Public Health will hold a special COVID-19 vaccine
clinic this Saturday, June 25, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Columbus Public Health,
240 Parsons Ave.
All COVID-19 vaccines and boosters will be available,
including the Pfizer pediatric vaccine for children ages 6 months and older.
All vaccines will be available on a walk-in basis. No appointment is needed.
“It’s important that children are protected against serious
complications from COVID-19,” said Health Commissioner Dr. Mysheika Roberts.
“The vaccine is safe and effective and it will add another layer of protection
for young and vulnerable children.”
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Food
and Drug Administration recently granted emergency use authorization to the
Pfizer vaccine (a three-dose series) for children 6 months of age through 4
years and the Moderna vaccine (a two-dose series) for children 6 months of age
through 5 years. At this time, Columbus Public Health is offering the pediatric
Pfizer vaccine and expects to have the Moderna vaccine available in the coming
weeks.
In addition to the special COVID-19 vaccine clinic this
Saturday, the pediatric COVID-19 vaccine and all COVID-19 vaccines and boosters
are offered at Columbus Public Health’s regular COVID-19 vaccine clinics on
Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and on Tuesdays
from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at Columbus Public Health.
