When it comes to healthy families, mom, dad and baby are all important. Columbus Public Health offers a variety of services that provide care, support and resources for every member of the family
For Moms & Babies
- Home visiting: Moms and babies can receive free, regular
visits from an assigned nurse, social worker or outreach
worker at their home or an arranged location.
- Advanced care and clinical services: High-risk pregnant
and postpartum moms can meet with our advanced
practice registered nurse (APRN) to receive enhanced
clinical care, including education on early postpartum
warning signs.
- Help getting prenatal care and a doctor for your infant
- Help applying for Medicaid, WIC and other social services
- Support for mothers struggling with depression and
tobacco, drug and alcohol use
- Pregnancy education and resources (e.g., infant growth,
child development, safety, nutrition, immunizations, ABCs
of safe sleep)
- Breastfeeding support
- Linkage to health insurance
