Columbus Family Health Partnership
Columbus Public Health, the Columbus Neighborhood Health Centers and the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center are proud to be partnering to better serve women before they become pregnant, during their pregnancies, at birth and after delivery. This collaboration is an effort to improve women’s health, the health of their babies, and ultimately, the health of our community.
Our Partnership
While the loss of one child is too many, nearly 3 families in Franklin County lose a baby every week, or about 150 infants each year. Through this partnership, we hope to give all babies born in our area the chance to live healthy lives.

How It Works
- The Family Planning Clinic at Columbus Public Health will continue to provide family planning support, social services, and limited gynecological care for women.
- Pregnant women (or women who may become pregnant) needing a medical home will be referred to the Columbus Neighborhood Health Centers. There they can receive medical care and support before, during and after their pregnancy. Comprehensive and ongoing care is available for the whole family.
- We connect clients to a local hospital for birthing services as they prepare for delivery.
