The
city of Columbus continues to invest millions to revitalize and increase safety
in the Weinland Park and OSU off-campus neighborhoods. Phase
4 is a streetscape project on High Street between 7th and 9th
avenues. Design
work is nearing completion. Current
plans include brick crosswalks, lighting, crosswalks and more.
Construction
is scheduled to begin in spring 2017 and finish by autumn 2017, subject to
funding approval by City Council and weather conditions.
Representatives
from the city of Columbus and design consultant Korda/Nemeth Engineering will
be on-hand at the open house to answer questions in an open-house format; no
formal presentation will be given. Exhibits illustrating roadway features
and property impacts will be on display.
