Livingston Avenue Improvements - Front Street to Kennedy Drive
Project Scope:
This project will reconstruct and widen
Livingston Avenue from Front Street to Kennedy Drive in three separate phases.
The project will also include bike lanes, curb extensions where parking is
permitted, new sidewalks, intersection upgrades, streetscape enhancements and
new street lighting. All aerial utilities will be relocated underground, new
storm sewer and water main will also be installed. Sandstone curb will be used
on this project.
Phase A:
Livingston
Avenue between Front Street and High Street. This phase of the project is led
by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), and is part of the Columbus
Crossroads Project Phase 4A. Construction
is anticipated to start in 2020 pending funding.
Phase B:
Livingston
Avenue between High Street and 5th Street. This phase of the project
will convert Livingston Avenue to two-way traffic. The design of this project is
in progress. Construction is anticipated to start in 2020, pending completion
of ODOT’s Columbus Crossroads Project Phases 2D and 4R. Estimated construction cost: $8.0 million
Phase C:
Livingston
Avenue between 5th Street and Kennedy Drive. The design of this
project is in progress, with construction anticipated to start in 2018. Private
utility relocation is in progress. Estimated construction cost: $10.25 million
Maintenance of Traffic:
Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times during construction.
