Project will make improvements on Parsons Avenue between East Livingston Avenue and Hosack
Street, including:
- Resurface

Street

Construct
bump outs and Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps

Reconfigure
travel lanes and parking to remove turning restrictions and provide shared lane
markings for bicycles

Four
signals will be studied for removal because they no longer meet federal and
state requirements. The traffic signals will be replaced with two-way stop
signs to be placed at five cross streets where they intersect with Parsons
Avenue

Upgrade
remaining traffic signals to mast-arm signals
Schedule:
- Design: Scheduled for completion in spring 2016
