Waggoner Road Improvements
Description and Benefits:
The city of Columbus is planning pedestrian, bicycling and other roadway improvements on Waggoner Road between East Broad Street and Chapel Stone Road. The project will improve traffic flow and increase safety for pedestrians and bicyclists. Current plans include:
- Resurfacing Waggoner Road between East Broad Street and Chapel Stone Road
- Widening Waggoner Road between Arbor Rose Way and Dolmen Drive in order to add a two-way, left-turn lane
- Constructing a shared-use path, with protective fencing in the ravine section, along the east side of Waggoner Road between East Broad Street and Chapel Stone Road
- Building sidewalk along the west side of Waggoner Road between Dolmen Drive and Waggoner Woods Drive
- Building and upgrading Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps

Construction: Subject to funding approval by City Council Scheduled for Spring 2018
