About Our Therapeutic Recreation Program
Therapeutic Recreation sponsors recreational activities that are modified to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities. We enhance an individual's physical, social, and lifetime recreational interests in a broad spectrum of leisure experiences. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate, including the non-disabled. Our Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists will work with participants on accommodations necessary to join in classes at our Community Centers through the use of the "Columbus Recreation and Parks Department Accommodation Request."
How to Register for our Classes
Step One: Create an account through Activenet (our online registration service) before continuing. If you already have an account please skip to "Step Two." If you are using a third party payer, please call (614) 645-5648.
Step Two: Register for classes through Activenet or register in person at the Franklin Park Adventure Center or any Columbus Community Recreation Center. All participants must register for programs, not drop in at this time.
Step Three: Mail in or bring on the first day of the program.
