An Irish Christmas Carol An Irish Christmas Carol

Columbus Recreation and Parks Department and Grandview Carriage Place Players present "An Irish Christmas Carol", the classic holiday tale with an Irish twist.

Set in Ireland during the Victorian era, "An Irish Christmas Carol" tells the story of Little Timothy and the O'Connor family, who hold onto the love of family, holiday cheer and kindness towards all, despite their own desperate situation. In the midst of British Crown oppression, Irish famine, and the constant threat of tyrannical law, the O'Connors manage to find hope for brighter days.

Mr. O'Connor's boss, the notorious Mr. Scrooge, is visited by The Sprite of the Emerald Green (Ghost of Christmas Past), The Irish Green Man (Ghost of Christmas Present) and The Irish Banshee (Ghost of Christmas Future), forcing him to confront his own lost hopes and dreams...and just maybe, become a better person as a result.

Written by Todd Adam Decker and featuring local dance troupe The Shamrockers O'Dublin, "An Irish Christmas Carol" promises to be a new holiday family favorite.

This production is appropriate for all ages.
