Chestershire Road Area Water Line Improvements
Located in the Greater Hilltop Community Area, this project will replace 6-inch and 8-inch water mains that have a high break frequency to improve water service, decrease burden on maintenance operations, and reduce water loss. It includes approximately 9,500 linear feet of water main replacement. Construction is to begin in the summer of 2021.

HCWP Intake Structure & Low Head Dam Rehabilitation
This project will bring the facility up to current standards and ensure a reliable source of raw water supply for years to come. All improvements will be made within City of Columbus owned property and right-of-way and will not impact travel or pedestrian traffic along Cherry Bottom Road.Work is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2021 and is anticipated to be completed in spring of 2024.

Old Beechwold Area Water Line Improvements
This project will replace existing 6-inch and 8-inch water mains that have a high break frequency to improve water service, decrease burden on water maintenance operations, and reduce water loss. It includes approximately 10,000 linear feet of water main replacement. The existing water mains range from 69 to 98 years in age. The project also includes new fire hydrants. Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2021.

Water Quality Assurance Lab Renovations
This project will provide renovations to HVAC, electrical, fume hoods, gas/vacuum/air fixtures, cabinetry and ergonomic upgrades. Construction is slated to start in late 2021 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.

Hoover Dam CIP

DRWP Clarifier Project
This project will replace the existing clarifier mechanisms, the flocculation drives, and items as piping, pipe supports, electrical gear etc. This project will help extend the life of this facility so that it can continue to provide a reliable source of water for many years to come.Construction will start in the spring of 2021 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.

PAWP Well Pump Replacement
This project will replace nine existing raw water pumps with new vertical turbine pumps at three of the collector wells, providing a reliable raw water source to the PAWP, make use of the existing assets and maintain the current approved capacity.

UV Disinfection Improvements for DRWP & HCWP
This project will install ultraviolet (UV) disinfection at the DRWP and HCWP to provide additional treatment for Cryptosporidium and other potential microbial contaminants. Financing will be provided by below-market interest rate loans obtained through the Ohio EPA’s Water Supply Revolving Loan Account (WSRLA) program. Includes EPA's Limited Environmental Reviews.

Three diesel powered standby generators will be installed at the HCWP to power the plant during a utility power outage. Construction is to begin in the first
quarter of 2017 and will be completed in 2018 with an estimated cost of $10.5 million. Two generators will be installed at the DRWP. Construction is anticipated to begin in the third quarter
of 2017 and completed in 2019 with an estimated cost of 9 million.

Hoover Boardwalk Improvements
Improvements to the Hoover Nature Preserve Boardwalk begin in May 2015 to make better use of the space, eliminate rutting, improve handicapped parking and better protect water quality. Construction is funded through Ohio EPA's Surface Water Improvement program and includes installation of permeable pavers, a vegetated infiltration area and educational signage for visitors.
