Blueprint Clintonville: Cooke/Glenmont Area Green Infrastructure
The Cooke / Glenmont Area Green Infrastructure project will construct curb bump outs with bioretention along Glenmont Avenue between High Street and Foster Street, rain gardens along Canyon Drive and Canyon Drive N, and larger bioretention basins at the intersections of Glenmont Place/ Canyon Drive, Canyon Drive/Canyon Drive N, and Lenappe Drive/ Overbrook Drive.
The goal of the project is to provide detention and water quality improvement to rain water that will be redirected from the sanitary sewer system by future Blueprint projects. For more information see the Blueprint Columbus project summary. Construction is expected to begin in summer 2016.
The estimated construction cost is approximately $1 million. Financing is being provided through a below market-rate loan through the OEPA’s Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) Program. Prior to granting this loan, the Ohio EPA required a detailed submittal from the Division of Sewerage and Drainage to determine the project’s eligibility.
The Ohio EPA has completed a Limited Environmental Review (LER) for this project. View the LER and the letter of "Notice of Issuance of a Limited Environmental Review and Final Finding of No Significant Impact to All Interested Citizens, Organizations and Government Agencies."
