Blueprint Clintonville: Overbrook/Chatham Area Green Infrastructure

The Overbrook/Chatham Area Green Infrastructure project will construct rain gardens along Glenmont Avenue between Indianola Avenue and Sharon Avenue, rain gardens along Yaronia Drive N and Yaronia Drive S, and curb bumpouts with bioretention along Blenheim Road, Northridge Road and Chatham Road from Indianola Avenue to Colerain and along Wynding Drive.

The goal of the project is utilize green infrastructure to provide detention and water quality improvements to rain water that will be redirected from the sanitary sewer system by future Blueprint projects. For more information see the Blueprint Columbus project summary. Construction is expected to begin in the fall of 2016.

The estimated construction cost is approximately $1 million. Financing is being provided through a below market-rate loan through the OEPA’s Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) Program. Prior to granting this loan, the Ohio EPA required a detailed submittal from the Division of Sewerage and Drainage to determine the project’s eligibility.

The Ohio EPA has completed a Limited Environmental Review (LER) for this project. Click here to view the LER and the letter of "Notice of Issuance of a Limited Environmental Review and Final Finding of No Significant Impact to All Interested Citizens, Organizations and Government Agencies."
