Blueprint Clintonville: Weisheimer/Indian Springs Area - Bioretention Improvements
The Weisheimer/Indian Springs Area Bioretention Improvements project will construct curb bump outs and rain gardens along Weisheimer Road between High Street and Sharon Avenue, along Desantis Drive west of Sellers Avenue, along Schreyer Place between Shields Place and Ingham Avenue, along Village Drive between Henderson Road and Ingham Avenue, along Fairlawn Drive between Village Drive and Ingham Avenue, and along Cooke Road east of Foster Street.
The goal of the project is to provide detention and water quality improvement to rain water that will be redirected from the sanitary sewer system by future Blueprint projects. For more information see the Blueprint Columbus project summary. Construction is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2017.
The estimated construction cost is approximately $2.5 million. Financing is being provided through a below market-rate loan through the OEPA’s Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) Program. Prior to granting this loan, the Ohio EPA required a detailed submittal from the Division of Sewerage and Drainage to determine the project’s eligibility.
The Ohio EPA has completed a Limited Environmental Review (LER) for this project. Click here to view the LER and the letter of "Notice of Issuance of a Limited Environmental Review and Final Finding of No Significant Impact to All Interested Citizens, Organizations and Government Agencies."
