Ngozi Osuagwu
Ngozi Osuagwu is the Clinical Director of the Women’s Health Center at Doctors Hospital/OhioHealth and a Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is also part of an office-based practice in Columbus and Hilliard.
Dr. Osuagwu attended The Johns Hopkins University and received her medical training at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a Diplomate of the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine and a Certified Menopause Practitioner.
Dr. Osuagwu’s primary interests include health literacy, preventive health and adolescent and midlife gynecology. She believes in empowering women through education. In 2011, she received the Woman of Achievement Award from the NYC branch of American Association of University Women in recognition of her contributions for advancing the cause of equity and education for women and girls and received the Cheryl Boyce Excellence in Health Care Award as a leading professional in African American healthcare. She is the author of the award-winning book, Letters to My Sisters, Plain Truth and Straightforward Advice from a Gynecologist. Since 2015, she has been blogging weekly on women’s health issues.
