The Columbus Income Tax Division provides the service of collection, audit, and enforcement of the 2.5% income tax for the City of Columbus, as well as the excise lodging tax for the City of Columbus and the Franklin County Convention and Facilities Authority. We serve those who live, work, and conduct business in Columbus in order to make sure that everyone pays their fair share.
Thanksgiving holiday hours
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday and staffing levels in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our team will be available by phone at the following times during the week of November 23:
- Monday, November 23: 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, November 24: 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, November 25: closed
- Thursday, November 26: closed
- Friday, November 27: closed
We will resume 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. phone hours on Monday, November 30.

Easy File and Payment Portal
Taxpayers can use our Easy File application to file Form IR-25 (please note that first-time filers must paper file), make outstanding liability payments, and make Civil Suit payments online. Taxpayers who need to file and pay forms IT-11, IT-15, IR-21, BR-21, IR-18, BR-18, IR-42, and BR-42 can use our Payment Portal application to file online. Learn more.
