Sunrise/Glenn Area Green Infrastructure

This project will construct rain gardens along the following streets: King Avenue, Seventh Avenue, Sixth Avenue, Fifth Avenue, Ida Avenue, Third Avenue, Northwest Boulevard, Morning Avenue, Hollywood Place, Grandview Avenue, Broadview Avenue, Fairview Avenue, Northstar Avenue, Ashland Avenue, Elmwood Avenue, Westwood Avenue, Glenn Avenue, Wyandotte Road.

The goal of the project is to provide detention and water quality improvement to rain water that will be redirected from the sanitary sewer system by future Blueprint projects. Learn more about Blueprint Columbus.

The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $6 million, and construction is anticipated to begin fourth quarter of 2023 and last 540 days. Financing is being provided through a below market-rate loan through the OEPA's Water Pollution Control Loan Fund (WPCLF) Program. Prior to granting this loan, the Ohio EPA required a detailed submittal from the Division of Sewerage and Drainage to determine the project's eligibility.
