Blueprint Hilltop 1 – Eureka/Fremont Green Infrastructure

This project will construct regional rain gardens in the existing traffic medians along Burgess Avenue and Terrace Avenue between Olive Street and Fremont Street. The project will also construct regional rain gardens in the following properties: 506 Ogden Avenue, 490 Harris Avenue, 470 Harris Avenue, 402 Harris Avenue, 369-377 Warren Avenue, and 29 Wayne Avenue.

The goal of the project is to provide detention and water quality improvement to rain water through regional rain garden installations. Also, creation of landscaped green spaces throughout the neighborhood.

Construction is expected to begin in first quarter of 2023 and be completed by fourth quarter of 2024.

Each impacted resident will receive written notifications from the City's contractor prior of the construction work. The notifications will give information on timing of the work and contact information.

Financing for this project is being provided through the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency's Water Pollution Control Loan Fund Program with a below market-rate loan.
