The City of Columbus’ Clean and Safe Corridor initiative concluded its second activation in the Hilltop neighborhood today, after two weeks of targeted efforts to address pressing resident concerns. The program delivered concentrated enforcement and cleanup efforts from multiple City of Columbus departments designed to improve public safety, fuel economic prosperity and promote quality of life along key business corridors.

“The city is working daily with Hilltop residents to improve safety and continue to transform this resilient neighborhood. We advance this mission with each business owner we support, each gun we recover, each tree we plant and each crosswalk we improve,” said Mayor Andrew J. Ginther. “I’m proud of what we accomplished in two weeks on the Hilltop, but our support doesn’t end here. We’ll continue to invest in partnerships and in implementing our Envision Hilltop plan to support the safety and cleanliness of this vibrant neighborhood.”

Informed by community input and 311 requests, a strike-force of city resources was deployed along Sullivant Avenue between Central and Hague avenues from April 21 to May 5.
