Com-Til Compost

Com-TilLogo.jpg Do the most with Com-Til Compost
Com-Til is a Class A biosolids compost perfect for boosting soil health while meeting plant nutrient needs. Our facility combines nutrient-rich biosolids (the treated solids from wastewater treatment), woodchips, and residential yard waste to create our STA Certified compost. Com-Til is suitable for farmers, landscapers, and gardeners alike.

Compost provides all the nutrients of traditional fertilizer while building soil organic matter. Increased soil organic matter feeds microbes, retains soil moisture, increases aeration, and builds resistance to disease and pests.

100% Beneficial Reuse Program

Built in 1980, our facility was one of the first of its kind. We began recycling biosolids back in the days when landfill and incineration were the norm. Instead of generating methane or burning off valuable organic matter, we recapture the nutrients and return them to the earth, feeding the soil that feeds us.

Our Compost Facility is just one part of our 100% Beneficial Biosolids Reuse management program. The “waste” you send us daily, is sent around the state to aid in restoration including growing corn and soy, reclaiming abandoned mine sites, and generating renewable energy.
