In the Summer of 2017, Councilmember Michael Stinziano and Columbus City Council established the Changing Station Accessibility Grant to engage and encourage small businesses and organizations to increase equal access to baby changing stations for all parents and guardians in the City of Columbus. Those who qualified received a maximum number of two changing stations from the City of Columbus. Recipients were awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until the original allotment of changing stations was exhausted.
- Business/organization must be located in the city of Columbus.
- Applicants must be a small business or organization determined to be in good standing with the City of Columbus, with fifty or less employees, with public-use restrooms.
- Locations with gender-designated restrooms must apply for, and install upon award, one changing station in each gender-designated restroom.
- Locations with a family, or, gender-neutral restroom, may apply for, and install upon award, one diaper changing station.
