The Envision Hilltop update is here!
City of Columbus Department of Neighborhoods announces
public update event for Envision Hilltop Community Plan
Columbus, OH—The Envision Hilltop community plan is a comprehensive vision and roadmap for the future growth and development of the Hilltop area. This initiative underscores the crucial role of resident and stakeholder ownership as well as partnerships in turning plans into impactful action.
"The Envision Hilltop community plan is a testament to the power of collaboration and the dedication of the Hilltop community," said Kym Douglas, Director of the City of Columbus Department of Neighborhoods. "This plan, built on the voices and aspirations of its residents, provides a clear pathway towards a brighter future for the Hilltop. We are committed to working alongside our partners and the community to ensure its successful implementation."
Envision Hilltop, guided by insights and input from the community, aims to foster a thriving, united and prosperous Hilltop community by focusing on three key pillars: people, place and home. The plan seeks to improve the quality of life for Hilltop residents by following through on the goals and action steps identified by the Hilltop community.
"The Envision Hilltop Community Plan is a vital step in our ongoing efforts to strengthen neighborhoods across Columbus,” Mayor Andrew Ginther said. "By focusing on people, place and home, this comprehensive approach will create more opportunities and improve the quality of life for all Hilltop residents. We are excited to partner with the community to continue bringing this vision to life and transform the Hilltop into an even more vibrant and inclusive place to live, work and thrive."
Core pillars:
- People: Ensuring that all residents have the opportunity to live comfortably and thrive by addressing health, recreation, education, schools, employment and income.
- Place: Creating a safe, secure and inviting neighborhood by focusing on business, economy, mobility, safety and crime.
- Home: Addressing vital neighborhood priorities such as housing quality, mixed-income, homeownership and affordability.
