Working with federal authorities and cybersecurity experts, the City of Columbus continues its investigation and response to a July cybersecurity incident.
The registry for domestic partnerships is administered by the City Clerk and intended to reduce the administrative burden on businesses and public institutions to define and certify the existence of a relationship. Verification is needed for matters such as health insurance, hospital visitation rights and authorization to pick up children after school.
Ordinance 1584-2012 enacted section 229 of the Columbus City Code to implement registration requirements and procedures.
