Larry Price

LarryPriceLarry Price serves as President of the Commission with a term expiring January 31, 2026. Outside of the Commission, Mr. Price serves as the founder and CEO of L. Price & Associates, which provides consultative services to private, public, and faith-based organizations, specializing in helping to ensure inclusion and diversity for minority business owners in acquiring state and local contracts. Mr. Price's passion for community outreach has led him to serve on boards of several organizations, such as Boy Scouts of America, the NAACP-State of Ohio, and founding the Urban Crime Advisory Committee in Columbus.

Mr. Price also brings a wealth of skills and knowledge from over 30 years of experience in public service, which includes working in the Ohio Senate, the Office of the Mayor, and being elected in 2003 as State Representative of the 26th District in the State of Ohio House of Representatives.

Mr. Price received a bachelor's degree in Journalism from The Ohio State University.


Dawn Tyler Lee

DawnTylerLee Dawn Tyler Lee, CEO of Forrest Street Consulting, is a certified John Maxwell coach, trainer, and speaker, dedicated to unlocking people's full potential. With a rich background in leadership and community impact, Dawn has served in various roles including Deputy Chief of Staff for Columbus Mayor Andrew J. Ginther and Senior Vice President for Community Impact at United Way of Central Ohio. She holds a master's degree in urban affairs and public policy from the University of Delaware and is a graduate of Harvard Business School Young Americans Leadership Program and the African American Leadership Academy. Dawn is committed to empowering others and has been recognized as the 2013 YWCA Woman of Achievement.


Mark Hatch

CSC Commissioner Hatch smiling with City and US flags Mark Hatch serves as a Member of the Columbus Civil Service Commission with a term expiring January 31, 2028. Mr. Hatch has experience in labor relations, Ohio public education, community development, public policy consulting and neighborhood safety initiatives.

Mr. Hatch received his bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University in August of 1987.

 

 


Jennifer Shea

JenniferSheaJennifer Shea currently serves as the Executive Director of the City of Columbus Civil Service Commission, a role she assumed in March 2025 following a successful tenure as Interim Executive Director beginning in November 2024. Prior to her appointment, she served as Assistant Executive Director and previously led the Uniformed Background Unit as Personnel Administrative Manager from 2021 to 2024.

Jennifer brings nearly two decades of legal and public service experience to her leadership. She began her legal career in the Columbus City Attorney’s Office as a legal advocate in the Domestic Violence and Stalking Unit, providing critical support to victims navigating the criminal justice system. She later served as a prosecutor before advancing to senior attorney in the Labor and Employment section, where she advised city departments on employment matters and represented the city in litigation, arbitrations and appeals. 

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies from the University of Mount Union. She later earned her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School’s evening program while working full-time — a formative experience that demonstrated her resilience, discipline, and deep commitment to public service.

A proud native of Newton Falls, Ohio, Jennifer values community, empathy, and self-care as cornerstones of effective leadership. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor adventures and rock concerts with her husband and son, and finds motivation through gratitude and the philosophy of caring for oneself to better serve others.

She is also an active member of the Junior League of Columbus, completing her seventh year, and continues to lead and inspire within the organization as a past President.
