The Plumbing inspection section checks that plumbing systems meet all codes to protect the health and safety of residents and visitors. Inspections verify that sanitary drain waste and vent systems, storm drainage systems, and portable water distribution systems are installed as per the approved design. Required inspections apply to systems in both residential and commercial buildings.
Effective August 28, 2024 all inspections for water service lines and appurtenances, both domestic and fire will be performed by Building and Zoning Services (BZS) from the point of the meter to the water distribution system of the building(s) served.
