Alcohol and Drug Services

The Alcohol & Drug Services program has prevention and outpatient treatment services. Prevention services are available for youth and adults offering education and supportive services. Latina Women & Families Program, Parenting Wisely and Intervention services are also included within the prevention programs. Adult Outpatient Treatment groups are gender specific. Walk-in registration is held Monday - Friday from 8am to 10am. Alcohol and drug prevention and treatment service times vary by program.

Prevention Services

  • Group programs on prevention and risk reduction
  • Adult Substance Abuse General Education and Parenting Wisely group, and the Latina Women & Families Program

Treatment Services

Find treatment options that are sensitive to your diverse needs, including:

  • Medication-assisted treatment
  • Individual counseling

  • Relapse prevention

                Pregnant women and those using IV drugs are prioritized.

                Medicaid is accepted and treatment costs can be subsidized for individuals without insurance and on an income-based sliding scale.

Harm Reduction

Find help reducing your risks caused by addiction and protect your health and safety through:

  • Early Intervention Services and risk-reduction counseling
  • Free testing for HIV, Hepatitis C and other STI’s
  • Linkage to medical and recovery supports
  • Safe injection and overdose prevention education
  • Access to naloxone

Columbus and Franklin County Addiction Plan

The Columbus and Franklin County Addiction Plan is a collaborative community effort led by Columbus Public Health to address the opiate crisis in central Ohio. Through targeted interventions and innovative programs, the plan works to decrease overdoses, overdose deaths and the spread of infectious diseases.
