US 23 Resurfacing

Project Description

The following streets have been resurfaced:

• Summit Street between I-670 and Hudson Street
• Fourth Street between I-670 and Hudson Street
• Hudson Street between Fourth Street and Indianola Avenue

The following streets will be resurfaced in early 2016:

• Third Street between Fulton Street and I-670
• Fourth Street between Fulton Street and I-670
• Rich Street between Third Street and Fourth Street

This project also includes:

• Installation of a protected bike lane on Summit Street between 11th Avenue and Hudson Street (columbus.gov/protectedbikelanes)
• Please obey all signs, markings, and signals. Bicycle signal heads are planned to be installed at signalized intersections to indicate when people riding bicycles may cross, but they will not be ready until early 2016. Download the Protected Bike Lanes Brochure(PDF, 1MB) .
• Relocation, removal and addition of some parking meters on Fourth and Third Streets
• Relocation, removal and addition of some parking spaces on Fourth and Summit Streets
• Installation of queue box pavement markings (columbus.gov/queuebox)
• Restriping to provide bike lanes
• Installation of bus bulbs (columbus.gov/protectedbikelanes)

Open House:

• A public open house took place on March 4, 2015 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the North Side Pride Center.

Schedule:

• Design began in spring 2014 and was completed in spring 2015
• Construction began in summer 2015 and is tentatively scheduled for completion in summer 2015
