2026 Availability Study

The City of Columbus (the City) has commissioned BBC Research & Consulting (BBC) to conduct an availability study to assess whether person of color- (POC-), woman-, veteran-, and LGBTQ-owned businesses face any barriers as part of the City’s contract and procurement processes. Information from the study will help inform the City’s efforts to encourage the participation of small, POC-, woman-, veteran-, and LGBTQ-owned businesses in its work.

Business Certifications & Registrations

The Office of Diversity & Inclusion offers a variety of FREE business certification and recognition programs. By obtaining certification, businesses are able to obtain certifications with other entities besides the City of Columbus, as well as participate in business networking and educational programs.

Contract Compliance

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion is responsible for ensuring that all contractors, including subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers who desire to be a party to a City of Columbus contract, as defined by Section 3901.01 of the Columbus City Code, must hold a valid contract compliance verification number, and must comply with all provisions of Title 39.
