File Number: 2019-0022 Name: Keith Allen Monroe Race: White Sex: Male Age: 56 Year of Death: 2019 Date / Time: 3/18/2019 at 11:21PM Incident Address: 500 [Block] S. Eureka Ave. Details: On March 2, 2019, at approximately 11:21 p.m., Columbus Police Officers were summoned to the area of 555 S. Eureka Avenue on the report of several people fighting. Upon arrival, Officers found several people at the scene, including the victim, suffering from varying degrees of injuries. CFD Medic 817 arrived at the scene and treated most of the victims for minor injuries; however one victim, later identified as Keith Allen Monroe, was transported to Grant Medical Center in stable condition. After some time, Mr. Monroe's condition continued to deteriorate and eventually he was diagnosed with a severe head injury requiring surgery. Mr. Monroe's condition failed to improve and on March 18, 2019, he was pronounced deceased by attending physicians at 12:42 p.m.

File Number: 2019-0017 Name: Joseph Coleman Race: Black Sex: Male Age: 48 Year of Death: 2019 Date / Time: 3/2/2019 at 3:59PM Incident Address: 400 [Block] Champion Ave. Details: On January 27, 2019 at approximately 9:21 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of 410 S. Ohio Avenue on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival the officers located two (2) victims, identified as Joseph Coleman and Jill O'Brien. The circumstances as to why Mr. Coleman was shot is still unclear. As for Ms. O'Brien, she was inside 422 S. Ohio Avenue when the shooting of Mr. Coleman took place outside of 427 S. Champion Avenue and she was struck one (1) time in the shoulder, by a bullet that came through the door. On March 2, 2019 at 3:59PM, Mr. Joseph Coleman succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
