COVID-19 is a virus in the coronavirus family of diseases that can cause respiratory illness in animals and humans. Some coronaviruses commonly circulate in the United States and usually cause symptoms such as cough or runny nose, although some can cause more serious illness.
In response to the virus, Council postponed its scheduled public hearings and neighborhood-based community events until further notice. Following the Mayor’s team and advice of Columbus Public Health, the State of Ohio and Governor DeWine, Council will do its part to slow the spread of the virus and help mitigate the impact on families.
