Obtaining Water Service

To verify if a property is eligible for water service from the City of Columbus, please contact the Sales Office at 614-645-7330 (weekdays 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.).

Water Connection Charges
Below are the documents pertaining to water connection charges:

• Cross Connection Questionnaire(PDF, 410KB) Required when making an application for water service (above). Please refer to the Questionnaire Guide FAQ page for information and help completing the questionnaire.
• Backflow & Well Conversions Backflow prevention is required to ensure there is no cross-connection or back siphoning of contaminated water into the main water supply. The most common residential application that will require backflow protection is for irrigation systems and wells. There are many commercial applications as well including: direct plumbed pools, auxiliary metering systems(PDF, 713KB), irrigation systems, car washes, any property that has a second source of water available such as a well, pond or other auxiliary water storage.
