Progress Reports

Each year the City releases a report summarizing environmental efforts taking place. Please view the most recent progress update below.

Annual Report

Highlights include the Bloomberg American Sustainable Cities initiative, completion of the Bike Plus Plan, passing the LinkUS ballot initiative, the Youth Climate Action Fund program, and over $8.7 million in savings for Clean Energy Columbus participants.

Green Fleet Action Plan

As part of the city's sustainability commitments, Fleet Management developed a green fleet action plan, which serves as a road map to greening our city's fleet. This is now the fifth update of this plan, which builds upon our successes while strengthening our ongoing efforts to reduce our carbon footprint.

Greenhouse Gas Inventory

Every year the City of Columbus does a community-wide inventory of greenhouse gas emissions to measure pollution and progress toward creating a healthier and more prosperous community.

2025 Green Jobs Study

In spring of 2025, the City released its Green Jobs study to assess the workforce landscape and assess needs to reach the City's 10,000 green jobs goal within the Columbus Climate Action Plan. Moving forward each fall the City will release a summary of green jobs employment, wages and growth using data from the Ohio Department of Jobs & Family Services. This will help track trends and aid in preparing our community for jobs in growing sectors.
