Reservoir Land Stewardship Program

Hoover Dam

This program was created to preserve water quality in Hoover, Griggs, and O’Shaughnessy reservoirs. Though participation is voluntary for eligible adjacent landowners, a signed and valid Land Stewardship License Agreement allows for authorized activities and access, such as a private boat dock, path, or managing invasive species, while maintaining a natural/forested riparian buffer. The program protects the city’s water supply by supporting recreational access without negatively impacting the long-term health of the reservoirs.

High quality water supply sources allow us to provide residents with excellent drinking water at a reasonable cost. Our program’s focus is to protect this vital resource.
