Important Information After Your Service Line Replacement

After your lead or galvanized service line is replaced, construction can temporarily disturb pipes and increase lead levels. Reducing Exposure to Lead in Water

Columbus water is safe and meets all state and federal standards. There is no detectable lead in the water leaving our treatment plants. However, some older homes may have lead or galvanized plumbing materials that can contribute to lead if water sits in pipes. Restoration, Warranty & What’s Next

After your service line replacement, crews will return to restore disturbed areas such as asphalt, sidewalks, lawns, and drywall access points. This document explains the restoration timeline, your one-year warranty coverage, follow-up water sampling options, and what steps to take after construction is complete.

Water & Power Discount Program

Columbus Water & Power offers a 30% discount on water, sewer, and electricity usage for qualifying low-income households. Seniors 60+ may qualify for additional service charge waivers. Eligibility is based on income or enrollment in approved assistance programs.
