Private Hydrants

The intent of this web page is to provide information to aid in the care and maintenance of private hydrants. Private hydrant systems must be maintained in an operative condition at all times and must be repaired where defective.

Hydrants are flushed between April 15 and October 15 of each year to assure proper operation and to clear the hydrant of any foreign materials.
