Megan Kilgore  was elected City Auditor in November of 2017 and took office January 1, 2018. She combines her public and private sector experience with her dedication to community to best serve the City of Columbus. Some of her accomplishments in these areas include:

Public Sector

Assistant City Auditor to Columbus City Auditor Hugh J. Dorrian for eleven years

Founder, Ohio Women in Public Finance

Adjunct Faculty in Public Finance at The Ohio State University’s John Glenn College of Public Affairs

Private Sector

As a Municipal Advisor, Megan worked with cities, counties, utilities, school districts, and economic development districts to help them plan and finance public projects. Advised government leaders about the best ways to raise, collect, and use funds to realize future economic development goals. Created financial models, analyzes market conditions, and facilitates rating agency presentations  – all to assist governments with infrastructure development of road, sewer, and water systems

One of only 24 individuals nationally recognized by The Bond Buyer for approaching their job with outstanding “leadership skills, collaboration, innovation and creativity”
