Every family with an infant should have a safe sleep plan. What is your plan? Sleep-related infant deaths are a leading cause of infant mortality in Franklin County. Babies should ALWAYS sleep A- alone, B- on their backs and C- in an empty crib. Columbus Public Health provides portable cribs to families in need of a safe sleep environment for their infants.
In order to qualify for a portable crib, or Cribette, you are required to attend a one-hour safe sleep class at Columbus Public Health. During this class, families will learn about the American Academy of Pediatric safe sleep recommendations and learn how to assemble and disassemble a Cribette.
