In alignment with the recent updates to the Paperwork Reduction Act (HR 3797), the City of Columbus will implement an alternate distribution method for 1095-C forms starting in 2026. The City of Columbus will no longer automatically furnish Form 1095-C to all employees and instead, this optional tax form will be available in Dayforce Earnings feature in the Tax Forms tab for downloading and printing by employees as needed. Employees can request a copy of the statement and the City will provide a copy within 30 days of the employee’s request. This change is intended to streamline the process and reduce administrative overhead while remaining fully compliant with federal requirements. Further details about the alternate distribution method and how to request a copy in 2026 will be communicated to employees in the fall Benefits Open Enrollment guide.
