The Citizens’ Commission on Elected Official Compensation is tasked with meeting every four years to determine recommendations for the compensation of the city’s elected officers. Per the City of Columbus Charter, the 2026 Commission’s recommendations pertain to the years 2030 through 2033. Commissioners were appointed during the second meeting of the City Council in 2026, which took place on January 12. As the Charter dictates, two Commissioners were appointed by Council, two were appointed by the Mayor and the Chair was jointly appointed.
