2016, Columbus Public Health (CPH) has worked with
residents, mental health professionals, community groups and city
government agencies to talk about neighborhoods experiencing trauma. These
meetings led to the development of the Columbus Community, Action,
Resilience and Empowerment (CARE) Coalition.
City Council and CPH are announcing additional funding for the CARE
Coalition. Expansion of the program will include direct engagement with
residents, education and improved response to traumatic events.
