WHAT:
Councilmember Mitchell J. Brown will
host a Public Safety Committee Hearing to discuss proposed changes to the
sections of the Columbus City Code that govern vehicles for hire. The City
issues licenses to operate taxicabs, pedicabs, horse drawn carriages,
contract cars, micro-transit vehicles, and quadricycles. The public hearing
will not address ride sharing services or rentable scooters. Public
testimony will be accepted at the hearing. Any interested parties wishing to
speak at the public hearing must complete a speaker slip at City Hall on the
day of the hearing prior to 5:00pm.

public hearing is available to view on WCBZ Channel 22.6, live stream on
the CTV website and
broadcast on Spectrum, Channel 1024; WOW, Channel 3 and AT&T
U-verse, Channel 99. Following the event, video will be posted on the City of Columbus YouTube channel.
