WHAT:
Council President Shannon G. Hardin is hosting a virtual public hearing to address a proposed Action Plan for safer roadways, walkways and sidewalks for drivers, walkers and bikers. In line with the Vision Zero movement, Columbus is setting a goal and establishing a plan to drastically reduce crash fatalities in our community.
City and community representatives will be on hand to answer questions and/or concerns. Public Testimony will be accepted. Comments will be limited to three (3) minutes. Send an email to [email protected] to request a speaker link by Noon Thursday.
Any resident seeking to submit testimony in favor of or in opposition to an ordinance is strongly advised to submit their testimony to Councilmember Shayla Favor's office. Written testimony must be received by 3:00 p.m. Thursday. Testimony should be emailed to [email protected] with the subject line, “Testimony for 3/4/21 Vision Zero Hearing."
The hearing will be live-streamed on the City’s YouTube channel and Facebook.
