Council Cancels January 24, 2022 Meeting

COLUMBUS, OH – Columbus City Council has cancelled the regularly scheduled January 24, 2022 meeting as a result of members following quarantine guidance relating to COVID-19 exposure. The State of Ohio requires public meetings to be in-person, and members attending an in-person meeting would violate public health guidelines.

"Some Council Members were exposed to positive COVID-19 cases and are following federal guidance by quarantining," said Council President Shannon G. Hardin. "The best defense against catching COVID-19 continues to be wearing a mask around others and social distancing, and I encourage all Columbus residents who aren't vaccinated to get their shots and booster as soon as possible."

The next regularly scheduled Council meeting will be January 31, 2022.
